Jose & Molly - Film Photography - Manhattan Kansas Photography

Sooooo.... I shot some film for Jose and Molly's wedding, which was over a year ago, but that is okay....I need to post more! I have a couple of weddings to upload, family sessions and engagements.. But it's all good! I had a baby and that is my excuse! :) Anyways... I completely forgot about shooting a roll of film for them... like I lost it... hooray for me! Then when I was cleaning my house the other day, (it fell behind my dresser)  I came across a used canister of film. Not knowing what was in it, I went to Walgreen's and had it processed. Low and behold it was Jose and Molly's wedding. Again, I only shot one roll. I love film!! Love love love it. I'm getting more comfortable with it again. I used to shoot it all the time in school. Anyways here are a few of my favorites from the one roll. :)

Jose & Molly - St. Mary's, Kansas - Wedding Photography

Jose and Molly were the IDEAL couple for a wedding. So laid back and so in LOVE! They honestly could not stop smiling cause of how incredible happy they were to be together for the rest of their lives. Molly was a beautiful bride wearing her Mother's wedding dress. How awesome is that?!?! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Everyone was in just high spirits and laughing the whole time, even with the 102 degree weather we dealt with.  I myself had a blast. I walked a way from that wedding with some new and awesome friends.

I had to put this image in. First, it is awesome and Second, the groomsman on the far left has his eyes closed in almost every shot that he was in. Super funny!

APW Workshop ~ Manhattan Kansas Photographer

Yesterday I attended the APW workshop (aspiring photographer workshop) which Chris Hsieh, of La Brisa photography, puts on for free for local photographer. I decided to attend this workshop because Chris had gotten a bride and groom to work with. Thank you Chris, I learned so much and appreciate the time you take out of you busy busy schedule to teach people. I honestly can not wait for the next one. Excuse the coat. It was freezing yesterday. I can't believe the couple was so willing to do this in the cold! It had to have been about 37ish degrees. You can see just how cold they were in some of the images. They are so red. I also shot some film during the workshop. I shot with Kodak Porta 400.

The last few images that we shot of the couple (the ones on the path holding hands) were right when the sun was setting. It got so orange and red it was crazy! But i love how they turned out.

Manhattan Kansas Photographer - Film - {Alexandra }

Here is the film I told you about with the session with Alexandra. I love them and can't wait to get better film and shoot with that, then a quick trip to Walmart's film isle. I know film photographers are cringing that I just said "Walmart". I still love the look and feel that I got with my cheaper film. Manhattan needs to get a film shop. I'm just saying. I can't wait to shoot with film again. :)
